Presidential Candidates:
Sarah Granda
Q: What position are you running for and why?
A: Sarah Granda: I am running for Student Council President. I have decided to run for president because I always wanted to become President ever since I came to Padua and I love the school.
Q: What would make you a good candidate for the position of President?
A: The reasons why I would make a good president are I am hard working and I get along well with others.
Q: Why do you think you should win?
A: I think I should win because I will make next year the best year ever.
Amy Horney
Q: What position are you running for and why?
A: I am running for Student Council President. I have decided to run for president because I feel I would be a good leader and my past experiences have made me a good candidate.
Q: What would make you a good candidate for the position of President?
A: The reasons why I would be a good candidate are I would take everyone’s opinions into account and I would make good decisions for the whole school. I am also a dedicated and hard working person.
Q: Why do you think you should win?
A: I think I should win because if I was elected I would make next year enjoyable for everyone.
VP Candidate:
Meaghan Rybaltowski
Q: What position are you running for and why?
A: I’m running for Vice President. I have decided to run for Vice President because I want to make next year a great school year.
Q: What make you a good candidate for the position of Vice President?
A: The reasons why I would make a good vice president are I am hard working and I get the job done.
Q: Why do you think you should win?
A: I think I should I win because I want to make next year a great school year and a memorable one.
Treasurer Candidate:
Shannon Steiner
Q: What position are you running for and why?
A: I‘m running for treasurer. I have decided to run because I have been on student council for the past 2 years so I know how it works and I want to help the school. Also the position of treasury appealed to me the most.
Q: What makes you a good candidate for the position of Treasurer?
A: The reasons why I would make a good treasury are I work well with others and I know how to work with money.
Q: Why do you think you should win?
A: I think I should win because I will do everything to make it a good school year.
Secretary Candidates:
Meave Clair
Q: What position are you running for and why?
A: I am running for Secretary. I have decided to run for secretary because I want to help the school and I love the school. It is like my second home.
Q: What makes you a good candidate for the position of Secretary?
A: The reasons why I would make a secretary are I will make good decisions for the school and the students.
Q: Why do you think you should win?
A: I think I should win because I am responsible and I will make the best decisions for everyone.”
Abigail Hidalgo

A: I am running for Secretary. I have decided to run for secretary because I want to make next year a good school and I am a good listener.
Q: What makes you a good candidate for the position of Secretary?
A: The reasons why I would make a good secretary are I am dedicated and hardworking.
Q: Why do you think you should win?
A: I think I should win because I want to help the school and I know how student council works.”
Rose Gallo
Q: What position are you running for and why?
A: I’m running for secretary. I have decided to run because i think I would make everyone a good secretary for the school.
Q: What makes you a good candidate for the position of Secretary?
A: The reason why I would make a good treasury are I am extremely organized and responsible. Q: Why do you think you should win?
A:I think I should win because I have good intentions and I would take the role seriously. I would also work really hard.”
The candidates will have two weeks to campaign before the elections take place May 8th. Candidates will being putting up signs for girls to see who is running and for what position. The signs will be all over the school in bright colors and have slogans for the candidates. The assembly will be held in the cafe and the candidates will give us a speech about why students should vote for them. After the assembly, students will be given ballot with the name of the candidates on it. Students will circle the names of the candidates they want and then the ballots will be handed in to be counted to decide who will lead the 2013-2014 school year.
