On Sunday, April 21st, the 7th annual Mother Daughter Brunch was held in the Padua cafeteria. The brunch lasted from 9:30 to 11. The whole cafe looked like spring, from the yellow tablecloths to the abundance of decorative flowers. All the mothers and their daughters looked beautiful in their outfits. On the tables, there were flower seeds and a sheet of questions that the mothers and daughters could chat about. The questions ranged from “What nursery song did you first sing together?” to “Which item of clothing would you like to eliminate from their wardrobe?”
Mrs. Mann led grace after an introduction from Mrs. Giaquinto. Then the women helped themselves to a breakfast buffet, which included waffles, fresh fruit, eggs, and bacon. After eating, a $30 movie pass was raffled off to a lucky winner. Throughout the brunch, pictures were being taken, so everyone could have a memory of the great time they had. “I loved spending time with my mom, and the questions were fun,” said Emily Rock (‘16). This year, the event was sold out. It is a great bonding experience and a lot of fun, so make sure to get your tickets next year!
