Kathleen M: Her Baking Journey
Meet Kathleen M., a current freshman at Padua Academy that has had a love for baking since she was a little girl. She picked up baking when making peanut butter clusters alongside her aunt around age six or seven. Kathleen”s aunt, along with her mother, has taught her everything she knows about baking today.
Though Kathleen loves to bake, her first batch of peanut butter clusters definitely did not come out perfect. The cookies melted and for awhile she couldn’t figure out why. It turns out that she used her hands to put the cookies on the sheet though, which she wasn’t supposed to do. “Baking helps me relax and feel proud of making something,” Kathleen says. “I also get to give what I make to my family which is nice.”
Not only does Kathleen bake, but she also plays for the Padua’s basketball and field hockey teams and enjoys watching Jenna Marbles on YouTube as well. When it comes to favorites, she likes the color purple ad the band the 1975. She also has a twin sister at Padua, Caroline, and two little sisters, Noreen and Susan.
