After a delay that felt like forever, the Freshman and Sophomore Winter Ball took place on Friday, February 1st. When students heard the news that Winter Ball had to be postponed due to bad weather, a feeling of disappointment could be felt throughout Padua. Finally the day of Winter Ball, the looks on people’s faces and the feel of excitement proved that it was worth the wait.
As soon as you walked in the cafeteria, all you saw was white, draping curtains lit up with blue lights. You heard the sound of music playing and people talking. The dance floor was packed with students dancing and having fun. “The music was great. The decor was great. Winter Ball was just absolutely amazing. Everyone seemed like they were having a great time,” said Gwendolyn Bugglin-Borer(‘16). When the clock struck 10, the music stopped and the lights turned on. No one wanted to go home. It was a great time. Everyone who went to Winter Ball enjoyed themselves. They had a great time dancing and hanging out with friends. This is one of the memories that will stick with students from their time here at Padua.
