10. Legoland in Carlsbad, California
As soon as you walk in Legoland, you know you are in a child’s paradise. There are giant lego blocks everywhere, plenty of colors, and so many rides. There are plenty of kid-sized rides for your little ones, and larger, more exciting rides for your thrill seekers. You can’t miss looking at all of the sculptures that are made entirely out of lego blocks and shopping in the biggest lego store around.
9. Knoebels in Elysburg, Pennsylvania
Theres plenty of rides and attractions that make Knoebels stand out, but what really makes it stand out is that it is a free admission park. Unlike most parks that make you pay for admission, Knoebels just lets you pay for each ride you ride. Not only does Knoebels offer free admission, but there is free parking, free use of picnic areas, and free entertainment.
8. Seaworld in Orlando Florida
When we think of Seaworld, we probably think of whales, dolphins, and all kinds of under the sea creatures. Along with the shows that the animals perform in, there are rides, exhibits, and exclusive behind the scenes experiences. The rides include roller coasters and log flumes, which are sure to leave you soaked. You can get a behind the scenes tour to meet with some of the animals and workers. Another major hit is seeing the animals during feeding times. You can discover the kid in you watching these animals flipping and swimming.
7. Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida
Universal Studios features rides based on the most famous Universal Studios movies, like Jaws, ET The Extra Terrestrial, and Twister, just to name a few. There’s plenty of shows and rides to entertain you and your family for the whole day. The newest addition of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will delight your Harry Potter fans. You can explore Hogwarts, shop in the village of Hogsmeade, and ride rides that transport you into the magical world of Harry Potter.
6. Disneyland in Anaheim, California
The Disney themed rides, the fun characters, and the iconic symbol of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle are what makes Disneyland a truly magical place. When you think of Disneyland, you probably only thing of the amusement parks, but there is more than that. Outside of the park, there is a huge downtown shopping and dining area, called Downtown Disney. Whether you want to spend a night out with your family or maybe your friends, it is a great place to go to have some fun.
5. Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois
Six Flags Great America features over 75 rides and attractions, and a waterpark. There are 14 thrilling roller coasters. Six Flags is a great place to spend time with the family or with friends. Some of the highlights of the park are their events for Halloween such as, Fright Fest. There is plenty of scare and tons of candy for the little ones.
4. Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia
Busch Gardens is a European-themed park that has thrill rides to kiddie rides, and plenty of other attractions. The roller coasters like Apollo’s Chariot, Griffon, and many others aren’t all that add to Busch Gardens’ appeal. Different sections of the park are split into different countries in Europe. The countries include England, Scotland, France, Germany, Italy, and Ireland. The shops and food are shaped to reflect each of the different countries.
3. Hersheypark in Hershey, Pennsylvania
Hersheypark features over 65 rides and attractions and a waterpark all in one. There are plenty of rides for thrill-seekers to little children. There are roller coasters, kiddie rides, and rides for the family, like the monorail, the carousel, and the train. There is more than the rides that adds to the appeal of Hersheypark. The chocolate that is the basis of the park is what keeps people coming back for more.
2. Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio
Cedar Point is a great amusement park for the whole family. If thrill rides are what you seek, you can ride their 17 roller coasters. A new roller coaster, The Gatekeeper, is being released in 2013. The coaster features wing over seats and high thrills. If you’re not into the thrill of roller coasters there are plenty of other attractions for you.

Walt Disney World is a must see for families with kids of all ages. There are a variety of attractions, from roller coasters to slow rides perfect for little ones, that make Disney World great for the whole family. The friendliness of the staff and characters add to the wonder of Disney.
