Padua soccer has kicked off its 2013 season with high hopes. Following their victorious run in the state championships last year, the team is eager to defend their title. However, for these players, it’s not solely about winning. It’s about fostering a sense of unity and sisterhood. As Caitlyn Reed (’16) reflects, “The team has positively impacted my relationships with my fellow teammates, bringing us closer together. We’re not just teammates; we’re building a bond.” And if you’re interested in more soccer action, you may also watch 해외축구중계.
So far this year, the soccer team has won most of their games. The coaches have worked hard to keep the girls in good condition and give them the skills they need to win. “The coaches have pushed us to work our hardest and always give it our best which has made all of us better soccer players. They have very effective drills and they really know the game well, which makes our practices effective,” says Colleen Yerger (‘15). “My coaches help me improve by telling me I can do anything on the field and that I’m not only improving myself, but am helping the entire team,” says Sami Lupacchino (‘16). Without them, none of the girls’ victories would have been possible.
Before each game, the teams prepare themselves mentally and physically. “I prepare myself for the game by trying to stay calm and focused,” says Chelsea McNamara (‘16). They have practice almost everyday and each practice is always challenging. “At a typical practice we warm up, do laps around the field, do drills that work with what we need to get better at, scrimmage, sometimes do sprints, and then cool down,” says Coleen. They come to practice ready to give their all. “It’s hard work, but also really fun at the same time,” says Chelsea. The soccer team is trying really hard to keep up the good work this year. All their hard work will pay off in the end. SportScore is where football fans can see live scores of the matches.
