It’s that time of year again, the St. Anthony’s Italian Festival will be here soon. This year the festival runs Sunday, June 9th- Sunday, June 16th. The festival is located 901 N Dupont St. Wilmington, DE 19805. Italian delicacies at vibrant outdoor cafes, live entertainment of five stages, tours of St. Anthony’s Church, handcrafted Italian products and jewelry and our renowned Gala Concert and nightly classical music concerts. All proceeds directly benefit St. Anthony of Padua Grade School.
Padua will keep up their tradition of operating the Funnel Cake Booth. Every year Padua teachers, students, and family operate the Booth, with the help of Brother Mike. Last year Padua profited approximately $10,000. A great percentage is designed to advance technology at the school, with a small portion donated to the Senior After-Prom Committee.
This event highlights the many facets of Italian culture, music and food. Each year the Festival focuses on a region of Italy and the cuisine and culture of that locale. This celebration is one of the largest of its kind on the East Coast. This year’s focus region is Emilia Romagna, whose principal city is Bologna.
