The Science Fair

On May 8th from 7:00-8:30  the Padua Academy hosted a science fair for grades 1-5 from Urban Promise. There were about 100 people attending the event.  The most popular experiments made by the kids were water erosion, melting candy, volcano’s, lava lamps, and bouncing eggs. The kids were able to win medals, trophies, and ribbons.

The winning project was a lava lamp made by 4th grader Tyrone. The event also offered free food for everyone. The options were mac’n’cheese, chicken, fruit, and an assortment of desserts. Freshman Julia M. said,  “The science fair was a huge success. I loved being with the kids. They were all so sweet and they really seemed to enjoy themselves. Everyone had a great time.”
