Not to long ago, Ms. Keefe was a freshman at Padua Academy and graduated happily four years later as a senior.  During those four years  Ms. Keefe was a part of band as a flag-twirler.  After her high school graduation, Ms. Keefe attended several colleges, receiving her undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, continuing her education at St. Joe’s, and earning her Masters in Theology at Boston College.  Ms. Keefe  also studied abroad in Italy for eleven months.  Currently, she teaches senior Philosophy of World Religion and freshman Old Testament.

Ms. Keefe grew up with a large and loving family where faith was of  utmost importance:  “The way that I grew up has definitely had an impact on who I am today, because I grew up in a family where faith was very important for us and still is… We pray together as a family, we go to Mass together as a family, and I know that that was something that helped my faith to grow.  In a broad sense the fact that I’m teaching religion is tied back to how my faith was with my family and how it is now. ” Before deciding she wanted to become a religion teacher, Ms. Keefe attended art school, but while taking a theology class, she realized how much she enjoyed talking and learning about her faith.  Shortly after that, Ms. Keefe knew the only thing she wanted to teach was religion to help teens through their faith journey with God.
