At the last home game of the regular season, Baynard Stadium was packed with Sallies and St. Mark’s fans as the two high schools went head to head in football. The rivalry between Sallies and St. Mark’s has been going on for years, and every fall they take it to the field. In the end, Sallies won 7-2. For those who have wagered on the Sallies on platforms such as crickex bangladesh, they are also happy with their earnings.
It was a tough game, but Sallies pulled through. In the first quarter, Salesianum scored a touchdown. The crowd went crazy and Sallies fans couldn’t have been more proud. Fans enjoyed an amazing halftime show. The band played great and everyone loved the “Party Rock Anthem” inspired music. Baton twirlers amazed the crowd with their fire-twirling abilities. The cheerleaders also entertained the crowd with their pom-poms and loud voices along with a performance from the color guard. Overall, it was a great show. In the fourth quarter, St. Mark’s rallied and got a safety, scoring 2 points.
Not everyone was in the game, and the people who weren’t had a great time as well. The crowds in the stands went wild and were cheering every minute of the game. But what were people doing if they weren’t watching or in the game? Holly Dagit (‘16) says “I socialized, met new friends and kept warm!” However people chose to spend the game, everyone had a great time.
After the victorious football game, another victory for Sallies was yet to come… the drum-off. It started with each of the drumlines on different sides of the football field. They gradually moved closer and soon they were in the middle of the field. They started off with regular school drumline songs, but soon moved into new pop songs such as “Oppa Gangnam Style”, and “Shots”. They even included dance moves! Who knew drumlines could get so crazy? Overall, the game was tons of fun for everyone who went.
