The Walt Disney Company plans to build their largest store yet in the Luijazui district of Shanghai. This new store will be 53,000 square feet. This will be the first Disney store in China to have a Disney inspired lawn surrounding the store, and will be a great place to host events and have celebrations. This store is expected to open in 2015 and have a huge quantity of Disney merchandise and products like no other store in the world.

This new location is highly anticipated and many people are excited for what is to come for Disney. One person who is looking forward to this store is Stanley Cheung, the executive Vice President at Walt Disney Company who said, “We are enormously proud to be building Disney’s largest store in the world in China.”  He also said “Disney has combined the retail concept with storytelling, fun and innovation and will provide families with a uniquely immersive entertainment destination.” Most likely this store will be a place that both adults and children can enjoy together. The citizens of China are very excited to finally receive a Disney store that is accessible to them. This store will be a great addition to the Disney family.
