Executive Officer Campaign

Executive+Officer+Campaign

On April 11th, twelve juniors at Padua Academy handed in applications to run for executive officer for the 2014-2015 school year. One requirement for the position was the candidate has to maintain a 2.5 grade point average. The campaign will begin on April 28th, in which the candidates will start hanging posters, giving candy out to underclassmen, and making themselves known to the Padua community. All candidates will run for the same position. The student who receives the most votes will become president, and the student with the second most votes will become vice president and so on. On May 6th, candidates will give speeches to the student body, informing others on why they are running. All students except seniors will come together and vote for their executive officers. “Since freshman year when I saw the juniors give their speeches, I knew that I wanted to run,” says candidate Amber DiSanto. “I wanted to get involved in leadership and this is the next step.”
