2014 Summer Ireland Trip

2014+Summer+Ireland+Trip

This summer, 14 selected Padua student embark on a journey with teachers Ms. Sophrin and Mr. McAteer.  These students are traveling to Ireland for nine days.  Last year, there was a similar trip to Ireland during Spring Break.  That trip was supervised by Mr. Beno, Ms. Sophrin, and Ms. Tamagni.  Like last year, this year’s group will visit historical sites like the Ring of Kerry and the Cliffs of Mohr.  The Padua students will sight-see at places like Dublin, Galway, Killarney, and Cork.  They will take a direct flight to Dublin and will stay there for 2 days.

Before the trip, Ms. Sophrin and Mr. McAteer will hold monthly group sessions where the students can learn about the history and culture of Ireland.  At one of the past meetings, Ms. Sophrin, Mr. McAteer, Ms. Wrambel, and the students baked Irish potatoes and watched Leap Year.  They will also do a couple parent meetings to keep the parents up to date on where they are.  Hannah G. stated, “I’m really excited to be going onto this trip.  I want to see the Cliffs of Mohr and maybe kiss the Blarney Stone.”
