The 2014-2015 Student Council committee plans to promote leadership for Padua Academy this year. One of the ways they plan to do this is through the school’s theme. The theme for this year is Social Media, specifically #Pandasconnect. Student Council President, Isabel DiGiovanni ‘15, said this theme was chosen because students can easily relate to social media and that the theme is displaying leadership by setting role models for people using social media well. Isabel also says there will be many benefits for the students with this theme, such as encouraging students to use social media wisely. The theme is being promoted throughout the halls of Padua, and can, of course,  be spotted on different forms of social media.

Student Council also plans to spread the leadership skills they learned over the summer attending SLC, Salesian Leadership Camp. At the camp the girls participated in many leadership activities such as small group discussions,which enabled them to talk to people from all over the country, as well as discuss leadership among Paduas own Student Council Executives. “The camp was a great experience, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned with the students of Padua,” commented Isabel.
