The 46th annual Country Music Association Awards were held on Thursday, November 1st in Nashville, Tennessee. For the fifth year in a row Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood hosted the awards show, which was filled with many performances from the top country artists.
Performers
The performers at the C.M.A’s ranged from country music veterans to the newest country stars. Some big name professionals that performed were Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Tim Mcgraw, Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen, Zac Brown, and many more. Many of the up and coming stars such as Hunter Hayes and Jana Kramer wowed the audience with their young and fresh singing talent. The performers sang songs from their latest albums. Some of the songs performed were well known to country music fans, such as: “Better Dig,” “One of Those Nights,” “Red,” “Begin Again,” and “Don’t Rush.” All of the performances were entertaining and pleased country music fans.
Award Winners
Each category of this years CMA’s was filled with top performing artists and it was difficult to decide the winner. Many of this year’s winners were unexpected because of the quality of performers in each category, such as; Little Big Town and Thompson Square who earned those unexpected wins. Husband- Wife duo Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton brought home the most awards. Check out the full list of winners below:
