30 Plays in 60 Minutes

Last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Padua Players performed 30 Neo-Futurist Plays From “Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind.” Senior Deirdre McCarrick hosted the event as excited audience members yelled out any of the 30 plays from the menus, all which were performed in 60 minutes. The 17 Padua Players successfully performed with spectacular acting skills as the audience was constantly entertained and engaged throughout all 30 performances.

Both the short performances, such as Mockery, and the longer performances, such as The Giving Car, amused the crowd. Director Ms. Davis and Assistant Director Sammy Szurkowski both worked in preparing the cast members for their performance, organizing the details of the production, and inspiring the Padua Players to be as creative and enthusiastic as possible. Sophomore Hannah Apostolico explained her experience, “It was really exciting to work together with the cast to create such a fun and successful production.” From the detailed scripts that the cast members nailed flawlessly, to the carefully crafted playbill and poster design, all of those who participated in the production proved that their talent and hard work pays off as the two nights and afternoon were all successful.
