T is for Team… and Also Tennis

Tennis season is coming to an end for Padua students, and it’s been a pretty great season. The first win for our Padua tennis team was their third match at Greenbank Courts against McKean High School. The team played home and won 4-1. They also won against Dickinson High School on May 7. The score was 5-0 and was the senior’s last match.

In total, the team this year was 5-4. Tennis is a sport that may be slightly out of some people’s comfort zones because tennis isn’t as popular or well-known at Padua as track or soccer, but it is a great way to make new friends and bond with new people in the Padua community. Mia Cimino (‘17) played on the team, and says “I enjoyed playing tennis for Padua this past season and I keep in touch with the friends I made through the team.”
