Upcoming Season Festivities: Thanksgiving!

With just a few weeks left before Thanksgiving, everyone seems to be getting more into the fall spirit and are already counting down the days left until break. During this festive time, we get to spend time bonding with our families, take a small break from school, and eat the delicious food we have prepared for us on this day. The whole day of Thanksgiving is very exhilarating including the Thanksgiving day parades, the pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pie, and especially the turkey. Along with these exciting events, some Padua girls wanted to express the things they do during this Thanksgiving season and some family traditions they have.

It’s very common for most families to go on vacations or take day trips or even weekends trips to visit their aunts, uncles, cousins, or grandparents that might not live close to them. Junior, Jordan Moroski, states “I go to Norristown, Pennsylvania and I eat dinner there and play with my five year old cousins.” She says it’s very fun and she does it every year. She loves experiencing new memories with her family. She also said, “It’s a new way to get closer to them all together in one place and bond.” Even though some students travel to visit their family, many stay home as well. Sophomore Ava Stratton states, “I don’t go anywhere for Thanksgiving but my grandparents come to my house and we celebrate Thanksgiving at my house.” She says it’s still fun and she likes how she can still stay at home and be comfortable without having to leave the house.

No matter what your family planned to do on Thanksgiving, everyone does something a little different to fit to their family and as long as it’s fun that’s all that matters. Hope it’s a fun and safe holiday for all!
