Hallway or Runway?

Whether it sitting in class, or walking through the halls, many students can’t help but notice what their teachers are wearing. Style differ from teacher to teacher, but one thing they all have in common is that are all stylish. Teachers still manage to stay in their dress code, even on dress down days, never wavering from professionalism. From the eyes of a student, men dress in button down shirts, a tie, and nice pants. Women typically wear dresses, skirts and a nice shirt, or pants and a nice shirt. When I asked Ms. Sophrin, a teacher from the English department, what the dress code for teachers is, she said, “We have to always look professional and be a good role model for the students. I wouldn’t change the dress code if I could; it makes everyone look very professional.” Commenting on her style, she said, “I think my style has remained consistent. If I needed to describe it, I would call it nerdy librarian chic. I buy 99% of my clothing from the Loft. All of my students know that about me.” No matter what, all of the teachers always look great every single day!
