Padua Student’s Favorite Shows

When Padua students aren’t working hard on their homework or studying for tests, most tend to spend their time watching Netflix or, catching up on the latest episodes of their favorite shows. Some of the most popular shows are American Horror Story, Gossip Girl, and Grey’s Anatomy.

The new season of American Horror Story premiered on October 8th and students are raving about the terrifying story line. Taking place in a 1950’s carnival in the. The attractions of the carnival include “freaks” or people with severe physical abnormalities. After a string of murders, the freaks must prove their innocence to keep their struggling show alive. This season is said to be the scariest and strangest yet.

Gossip Girl ended its run of six seasons in 2012; however, it is as popular as ever. The show takes place in the Upper East side of Manhattan and highlights the crazy teenage life of two privileged girls, Serena Van Der Woodsen and her best friend, Blair Waldorf. Caitlyn Riggs (‘18) is a faithful Gossip Girl fan. She says, “It’s my favorite show of all time! I can’t get enough of it”

Grey’s Anatomy is another very popular show about the journey of young interns to seasoned surgeons at Seattle Grace Hospital, (now Sloan Grey Memorial Hospital). The show is about protagonist, Meredith Grey, and her friends and co-workers as they make mistakes and learn how to climb the surgical ladder. The last season will end in May. Hannah Ward (‘18) says “Grey’s Anatomy is my favorite show. I started watching it a few weeks ago and i’m already on season six. It’s so addictive!” Grey’s Anatomy is the most watched medical drama of all time. This is a few of many frequently watched TV shows that are favored by Padua students.
