10 Fun Things for You to Do Over Spring Break

Spring break is an exciting time where we get a week off to relax and do almost anything we want without having to worry about the stress of school. For some of us we might be heading off on a trip with our family to somewhere exciting, but then there are those of us who are going to be staying put. Just because you’re not jumping on a plane doesn’t mean you can’t have a fun and amazing spring break. Here are ten things you can possibly do to get the most out of your spring break:

  1. Take a beach trip

We are all lucky enough to have the beach only a few hours away. This is the perfect opportunity to take a day trip if the weather is nice enough. If it just so happens that it is not perfect weather you can still head to the beach and have a good time with shopping, eating, and enjoying the ride to the beach with some friends and good music.

  1. Go to the park

There are so many parks in our area that are accessible to us and are filled with fun things to do. Some parks near us that you can go to are Bellevue, White Clay Creek, Alapocas, and Rockwood. Each of these parks have exciting trails to explore, bike, run, or whatever else you want to do. Plus, many of them offer amenities like picnic areas, playgrounds, and enclosed walkway canopies to enhance your outdoor experience.

  1. Catch up on TV shows, books, etc.

With a hectic school schedule all the time you might find it hard to get the time to watch your favorite shows, read a good book, or watch a movie.  Spring break is the perfect time to catch up on the shows you have been missing out on, the books you have been wanting to read, and all the new movies that have been coming out.

  1. Take a Day Trip

We are lucky enough to live in an area that is close to so many cities that are just a car or train ride away. Some places you can go to are New York City, Baltimore, and Philadelphia which is especially close to us. There are endless things you can do in these cities and you are guaranteed to have a great day.

  1. Go to a concert

Spring break is the perfect time for you and some friends to go to a show. All you have to do is go on a website like songkick.com and see what artists are coming to the area for you to see. No matter what type of music you like there is probably something out there you would enjoy going to. This is a great way to get out of the house and have an amazing time.

  1. Try something new

If you are a person who is always sticking to the same daily routine during the school months then this is the time to get out of your comfort zone and try something you have never done before. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant or big, just something that is new to you. For example it could be reading a book because you might realize you really enjoy reading or whatever activity it is you choose to do.

  1. Shopping

This is the perfect time to take a day to shop with your friends or take a day trip to the mall with your mom. There are so many places to shop near us like King of Prussia Mall, Christiana Mall, or many of the outlet stores you can take a drive to. Don’t forget that when you go to Christiana Mall there are no taxes which is always a plus!

  1. Family Time

Take some time to spend with your family this spring break. You could go to a movie with your parents, take your little siblings to the park if you have any, and so much more. This is a great way to remind your family how much you love them during this Easter season.

  1. Take a Zoo trip

The Brandywine Zoo is just minutes away from our school and is a great way to spend a day during your spring break. There are so many animals to visit and take pictures of. This is something you can choose to do with your family, friends, or both if you really want to. It’s cheap and an easy way to not be bored for a day.

  1. Go for a run

With the weather finally starting to warm up it is a great time to bust out your running shoes and take a nice run outside. It can be as little as 10 minutes or as long as 3 hours whatever you are feeling up to. This way you don’t only get out of the house and have some fun, but also get some exercise too!
