Padua Academy Field Hockey ended their season in the best of ways with a double win against rival, Ursuline Academy. Varsity ended in a 1-1 game with a goal by sophomore Nikki Sabatina. It was assisted by senior Kelly Ryan with a perfectly crossed ball into the circle. During overtime, Padua earned a stroke, which was taken by Rachel Zane. Rachel scored on an amazing shot, and she celebrated by breaking into the “bernie” right there on the field! JV kept up the Padua pride with a shut-out. They demolished Ursuline’s JV team in a 3-0 win with goals scored by Bridgette Tullier, Colleen Yerger, and Calla Pritulsky. There were a few teary-eyed seniors as their final regular season field hockey game came to a close. However, everyone left the field feeling pride for the season and love for the sisters they’d shared it with.
