Aladdin 2019: The Magic of Love and Friendship

A live action remake of an extraordinary Disney classic with incredible cast members brought “Aladdin” back to life in 2019. With a creative spin on the plot of the story, the talented cast and directors are able to connect with the new fans of “Aladdin”. I believe it was better than the original version of “Aladdin” and should receive a higher rating than its original.

On May 24, 2019, “Aladdin” was released to a new generation of viewers all over the world. “Aladdin” was directed by Guy Ritchie, who has also directed “The Gentlemen” and “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” Guy Ritchie is also a producer, writer, and businessman. Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirlich produced this film. There are many famous actors and actresses in this movie, such as Will Smith, Mena Massoud, and Naomi Scott. This movie has made an amazing profit of 1.051 billion dollars and has impacted many families around the world with its creative plot and scenes. On IMDb.com, “Aladdin” received a rating of 6.9/10, but I think it deserved better.

“Aladdin” is an amazing story of romance and family values. This movie orbits around a charming young man named Aladdin (Mena Massoud) who is eager to leave his life of stealing from others in order to work for greater things. In the movie, he sees and falls in love with a beautiful young woman named Jasmine (Naomi Scott), a princess and daughter of the sultan of Agrabah. Princess Jasmine is also a courageous and self-determined person who longs to encounter life outside of her father’s castle. While Aladdin is determined to win the heart of Princess Jasmine, he stumbles upon a magical lamp which contains a powerful shape shifting Genie (Will Smith), who is practically the key to making all his dreams come true. As Aladdin and the Genie become good friends, they find out that the evil Jafar (Marwan Kenzari) also desires the lamp so he can take over the throne.

The moral lessons taken away from this film are that real character will always shine through, and friendship is better than power. “Aladdin” teaches its viewers that who you are inside will always shine through in life. In the story, Aladdin wanted to become a prince so that he could be someone else for a change. This transformation shielded who he was on the inside from the rest of the world. Showing who you are on the inside can help you overcome your insecurities and help you flourish through every obstacle life throws at you. “Aladdin” also teaches that the value of friendship is greater than having power and money. Aladdin shows us what true friendship is by making a decision to allow the Genie to set himself free with his last wish. Aladdin preferred to have a relationship with the Genie over wealth.

I recommend this movie to every family in the world because it shows children and adults that they should be themselves around others. Love and friendship can conquer anything in your life. I loved this movie because it showed me that I can accomplish anything when I have true friends around me and to allow my real character shine brightly everywhere I go.
