Sophomore Class Elections

On Tuesday, September 17th, the ballots were cast for the Sophomore class officers. The Sophomore class gathered in Roberto Hall to listen to the speeches of the ten candidates running for student officer positions. The students who ran for a class officer position of the 2013 – 2014 school year were Imani Scott, Perry Martin, Holly Dagit, Francesca Marinaro, Victoria Granda, Maddie Russell, Sarah Brush, Caitlyn Reed, Alex Roat, and Sasha Jones. Each girl made an excellent speech presenting a hard decision for the students to make.

I am very excited to see what these girls have to offer to this upcoming year!

— Megan Mallon

While each of the nine candidates were very suitable for the job, only four could be chosen. Each girl spoke about why she would be the best candidate and her ideas for the upcoming year. In the end, the four girls who were able to persuade the vote of the students most were Imani Scott, Perry Martin, Francesca Marinaro, and Holly Dagit. Their responsibilities include organizing class activities and representing their class proudly. “I am very excited to see what these girls have to offer to this upcoming year!” says Sophomore, Megan Mallon. The new class officers will do their best to make this an enjoyable year for everyone.
